Michele Macinai was born in Italy where he lives in a small village in Tuscan countryside. He is graduated in civil engineering and he works as engineer in his design studio in Montevarchi.His passion for photography has begun in 2009, when he when he attended a photography course for beginners. In 2012 he started to be interested in photographic competitions, obtaining very good results and numerous awards. From April 2012 to today he has received more than 5000 acceptances and more than 700 awards in international photographic competitions patronized by FIAP e/o PSA.Michele was a member of the Italian team who participated in the 25th FIAP Biennial for Color Prints (World Cup) held in June 2013 in Argentina, in which the Italian team ranked 2nd and won the Gold Medal. He was a member of the Italian team who participated in the 28th FIAP Biennial for Color Prints held in May 2019 in Spain, in which the Italian team ranked 4th and won the Bronze Medal. He has participated in many collective photographic exhibitions organized in Italy and abroad and has also performed numerous personal photographic exhibitions in Italy and abroad.Over the years he has participated and continues to participate in many activities organized by the photographic club to which he belongs: photographic exhibitions and meetings, photographic competitions, photographic courses as teacher and tutor etc. He also participated as juror in many national and international photographic competitions.Michele is a FIAF member since January 2012 and a FIAP member since 2014. Thanks to the results he has obtained by participating in many national photographic contests patronized by FIAF, in 2020 he gained the AFI distinction (Italian Artist Photographer). Thanks to the results he has obtained by participating in many international photographic contests patronized by FIAP, in 2014 he gained the AFIAP distinction (Artiste FIAP), in 2016 he gained the EFIAP distinction (Excellence FIAP), in 2018 he gained the EFIAP/b distinction (Excellence FIAP bronze), in 2019 he gained the EFIAP/s distinction (Excellence FIAP silver) and in 2022 he gained the EFIAP/g distinction (Excellence FIAP gold).In 2018 Michele was appointed Director of FIAP World Cup for Clubs, the photographic contest organized by FIAP in which all the photographic clubs in the world can participate.
