I am Arunima Ghosh. I live in India , in West Bengal district. I am a teacher by profession and mother of two small kids. Photography is my passion. It gives me immense happiness to capture people and their emotions, particularly children. I have started doing photography from the year 2021, when i got bored during covid lockdown. I started participating in photography competitions from May 2022.I have won more than 25 awards till now in various national and international salon/ circuits under various patronages. I am still learning everyday and want to learn more and more about my passion.Taking a photograph is akin to freezing time, forcing the moment from our fast-paced lives to stay fresh forever.At times, we all need to take a moment to appreciate the small things in life.Photography allows me to do just that.It is what keeps me going -the oxygen that gives breath to my memories.
Works Synopsis
The picture " innocence" tells a beautiful story of two kids. I was passing this small village called Canning in West Bengal district of India, suddenly the twinkling eyes of these two children caught my attention. Since i was carrying my camera gears , they were looking at them and to them it was something " shaktiman" an imaginary character( an Indian superhero) has given me. The discussion between the two kids was so innocent, I couldn't stop myself from clicking them.So the title of my image in "INNOCENCE".
