Michèle MOSSES-DUBOIS, 64 years old. I am married and I work as secretary. I started photography in 2005. I joined the photo club 'Cercle des Artistes Photographes' (CAP) which is affiliated to the 'Fédération Internationale des Arts Photographiques' (FIAP) in 2010. Since 2017, I am the Secretary of the CAP.My first exhibition was in collaboration with Jerry Layduhur and Steeve Dubois in September 2010 after a trip to Vietnam. I have participated in exhibitions by the National Art Gallery of Mauritius in 2012, 2013, 2017, 2018 and 2020; and since I joined the CAP, I have been actively involved in all exhibitions organised by the club (around 20). From time to time, I also try my hand at international competitions with some satisfactory results. I shoot a variety of subjects, including nature, landscape, travel and portrait.
Works Synopsis
The photo shows the departure of a regatta in Mahebourg in the south of the island of Mauritius. A regatta is a sailing competition for sail boats known as 'pirogue'. I like the colourful sails against the blue sea and sky.
