Born 1952, A science graduate and a former bank officer (Manager), practicing photography since early 80s. Received ‘Diploma in photography’ in the year 1983 and obtained the Judges Training Course in 1992, both the courses being organized by Photographic Association of Dumdum, one of the foremost institutions in India. He had more than 3000 acceptances in different international salons & exhibitions organized across the globe. More than 250 awards and numerous reproductions in international salon to his credit. Also he had won the best author In China in the year 2015. Number of my pictures has been reproduced in various salon catalogues. Some of my works have been kept in permanent collections in various photographic Societies and museums of China, Spain and Italy. He had been honoured with the ’Associateship’ distinction of the Royal photographic society from Great Britain ( ARPS )in 1987, AFIAP and EFIAP distinctions received from Federation Internationale de l'art photographique in the year 1989 and 1995 respectively. EPSA distinctions received from Photographic society of America in the year 2022. He has been serving as a member of jury in different National and International Salons in India and abroad since 1996.
