By profession an Orthopaedic and Trauma surgeon, specializing in shoulder injuries, but by passion a serious amateur photographer having exhibited in 96 countries so far and have won numerous International awards, like SIPA, PhotoArtMedica, TIFA, MIFA etc along with more than 650 International photo awards. After spending hours in the operating theatre , his passion is to carry his camera and other gears for any photography opportunities from around the World
Works Synopsis
This photo was taken in the Holy city of Varanasi in India, where the early morning prayer, locally called 'Arti' takes place with lighted metal sticks , performed by local priests. This happens when the sky is still dark and the spectacle is is watched by literally thousands coming from various places both in India and abroad. The name of the image hence is Assi Ghat Twlight Arti as this takes place on the banks of River Ganges on the Assi Ghat
